The hotel rooms are individually styled, some are large and quite grand and some are small and cosy. All of them have been designed to have their own unique character and to be sympathetic to the age of the building but still have the important mod-cons such as large flat-screen TVs and free wi-fi, which is available in every room and in the bars in the pub.
The hotel rooms are spread over three separate buildings – each building has its own unique setting. Its only a short walk along the village high street to get to each building & our breakfast room.

Please be aware that all of our rooms are accessible via stairs. Due to the historic nature of the buildings we do not have lifts. Please talk to one of our team when booking so they can advise.

Super-Duper Rooms
Grand… extravagant even! Our super-duper rooms are large, wonderfully appointed rooms with either lovely views of the gardens and/or out towards the Thames or over our the historic village High Road. They have super king sized luxurious beds, feature bathrooms with large walk-in showers and double ended baths.

Infants & Children: all High House Suites can accommodate a travel cot and The Hideaway Suite can also accommodate an additional 2 children and or a travel cot (see additional charges.)
Rooms at The Inn
These very special rooms are located in the 15th Century Inn. They are named after historically famous mistresses and the design and décor takes inspiration from these lavish, witty characters.

Infants & Children: all Bell Suites can accommodate a travel cot and The Bonson suite can also accommodate 2 small children or a travel cot (see additional charges.)
Stable at The Inn
Set in an old stable block. It is a very large room on 2 floors with a spiral staircase. Downstairs is a living area and fantastic curved bathroom. Upstairs in the galleried bedroom there is a super king-size bed.
This room does accommodate children at an extra cost but please remember the children &bathroom is on the ground floor and the main king bed is up the spiral staircase on the first floor.

Our comfy rooms have king size beds, and although smaller than some of our grander rooms they are beautifully marked and in the setting of our Georgian building. All have walk-in showers.

Ground floor Cosy Rooms
The ground floor cosy rooms are all laid out in similar style. They have ‘wet room’ showers. These rooms can be made up as twin rooms. They have their own entry door but are closely annexed to each other. They are at the back of the building in a quieter location and you can park outside (spaces permitting.)

Cosy Rooms
Our cosy rooms are medium sized characterful double rooms with king sized beds & their own bathroom. With views over the high street or rooftops of the hotel.

Snug Rooms
Small but prettily marked rooms. That have king sized beds and compact bathrooms. Some are located in the eaves so not for the taller amongst us.

Check-In & Check-Out
Check- in is between 3.00pm – 8.00pm and check-out is at 11.00am. Prior arrangements are required for late arrival. Any requests for earlier check-in or late check-out will be noted, yet cannot be confirmed until day of arrival. Reception Opening hours click here

Ostlers is open for breakfast until 9.30am midweek and 10.00am at weekends. See opening times for full timings
All our rooms as ‘room only rate’ so you can just choose what you like from the menu and pay as you go.
Taxis
Taxis are sometimes hard to find here in Horndon on The Hill, so please ensure you book any journeys in advance. The most up to date taxi numbers are best found by googling them.

Payments for hotel rooms are taken 48 hours prior to arrival.
We accept Debit cards, Mastercards & Visa card (we do not accept American Express.)
Supplements
Extra beds for children sharing a room with their parents are charged £20.00 per night per child. Our family rooms that have extra beds for children are Hideaway Super-Duper Room, Bonson (Room at The Inn) and The Stable (see room descriptions for more information).
Infants & travel Cots, you can reserve a travel cot for £10.00 per cot. All rooms fit a travel cot with the exception of our Bell Small Doubles and High House Smallish Doubles.
Dogs: we welcome smaller well behaved dogs in a number of rooms at a charge of £15.00 per dog per night (with the exception of registered assistance dogs.) Dog friendly rooms are High Brow, Du Barry, Stable & High Tea. At present dogs are only able to hang-out in our outside spaces, breakfast room & bar area (with the exception of registered assistance dogs.).
