Visit & Stay with confidence

Our priority is the safety of all our guests and the team. We have enhanced many of our procedures to meet with latest recommendations.  Our teams have been trained in the new ways of working. Here is what we are doing:

Take a peek at what we are doing to adhere to the latest government changes as they arise.

Track & Trace: as you enter the premises you are required to register with the premises QR code or the NHS track & trace. This is a government requirement and without doing this you can not enter the premises.

Cashless payments:  We are card payment only and operate a cashless property for the safety of our guests and our staff. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Hand Sanitiser: when you arrive, you’ll find hand sanitizer stations at our entrances, we kindly ask you to use before entering. Other stations are available for guests to use throughout the venue.

Social Distancing: we ask everyone to comply with the current government social distancing guidance.  Our historic building is accommodating COVID requirements with one-ways systems or give-way systems. Please do not move tables or chairs – for the well-being of all of us.

Face coverings: our staff wear masks &  visors when serving guests, and or are working behind protective screens. It is now a legal requirement that you wear a mask when entering the buildings, and only take them off once you are seated.  The kitchen team members have all the equipment & layouts they need to deliver your meal in a safe manner.

Dining with us : we suggest pre-booking to avoid disappointment. At booking we will let you know of all the things we need to have for track & trace  The best was to  book at table is  01375 642463 or via  email: Please be understanding we have limited tables at present and get booked up very quickly at certain times.

Drinking with us in our courtyard or grounds:  on arrival you will have to use the track & trace  options. Then follow the signage and floor markings to guide in what to do next. No groups larger than 6 will be permitted, movement around the courtyard & grounds should be minimal. At peak times you may be asked to queue safely outside on The High Road.

Drinking with us inside: we currently can only offer outside drinking in the courtyard or grounds of The Ostlers. Don’t forget to bring something warm to snuggle up in as sunset or on cooler days. We are looking at other options as the cooler weather is with us.

Tables & chairs are arranged with social distancing in mind and to accommodate the maximum of  6 congregating. Therefore, we ask that you do not move furniture.

Menus: to reduce menu handling, we are encouraging guests to use their own devices to view our menu on our website Disposable menus are available for those that want them.

High touch & traffic areas: we are carrying out cleaning of high traffic areas at a higher frequency for everyone’s safety and confidence – such as door handles, loos and banisters.

If you’re feeling unwell: if you or someone you are due to visiting with are feeling unwell and suffering from symptoms of Covid-19 you should not attend one of our venues. Please call us to discuss your options.

Bedrooms: please see our stay in confidence information for all the details on our bedroom cleaning.
