Rooms

We have 15 individually-styled bedrooms.  Some are large and quite grand (like the 5 suites in the Bell) and some are small and cosy (especially the Captain's Cabin.) All of them have been designed to have their own unique character and to be sympathetic to the age of the building but still have the important mod-cons such as wi-fi, which is available in every room and in the bars in the pub. 

All tariffs listed are for room only.  Breakfast (served daily in Hill House dining room) is priced from £5.00-£9.00.

Supplements: Children sharing a room with their parents are charged £20.00 per night per child for a z-bed and £10.00 per cot. Dogs welcome in some rooms at a charge of £10.00.

Bonson


The Bonson has windows on three sides allowing the light to flood in and giving it a very bright, airy feel. There is a king size bed and separate lounge area overlooking the courtyard in The Bell.

Josephine


Named after Napolean's mistress, the Josephine has a large sleigh-bed, bespoke furniture and a little Owellian pig to keep you company. It overlooks the high street (the room not the pig.)

Madame DuBarry


Madame DuBarry is a pretty, feminine room with a twinkle in her eye. The elegant draped four-poster bed conceals a little surprise. The room overlooks the courtyard and fields to the back of the Bell.

Anne Boleyn


The Anne Boleyn is swathed in dark, rich furnishings. An open fireplace adds to the regal feel. The room overlooks South hill.

Hamilton


The Lady Hamilton's decor pays homage to the great Lord Nelson. The nautical theme runs into the bathroom with a huge free-standing roll top bath. The Hamilton overlooks the high street.

Room 1


A medium sized double room with its own bathroom. It is located in the main building in Hill House with views over the high street.

Room 2


A small but prettily marked double with subtle far-eastern themed decor. It has its own shower-room and overlooks the high street.
Tariff: £50

Room 3


A pretty English country style large double room. It has its own bathroom and overlooks the high street.
Tariff: £60

Room 4


A medium-sized room with a lovely Victorian iron bedstead and its own bathroom. It overlooks the stable-block in Hill House.

Room 5


A cute little double room in the eaves of Hill House. It has its own small fireplace and small bathroom.
Tariff: £50

Room 6


A large double room with a separate study area that can double as a child's bedroom. It also has a largish bathroom. On the third floor, in the eaves of Hill House, room 6 has plenty of character.
Tariff: £60

Room 7 (The Stable)


Set in what was once the stable block of Hill House. It is a very large room on 2 floors with a spiral staircase. Downstairs is a living area and fantastic curved bathroom. Upstairs in the galleried bedroom there is a king-size bed.
Tariff: Weekday £75. Weekend £85.

Rooms 8,9 and 10


Rooms 8, 9 and 10 are all laid out in similar style. Recently refurbished, they have flat screen TVs and fantastic 'wet room' power showers. The beds in rooms 8 and 9 can be set up as a double or twins. Room 10 is a double.
Tariff: Weekday £60. Weekend £70.

Captain's Cabin


The Captain's Cabin is small and cosy! It is also only for our more athletic guests as the double bed is accessed via a ladder. It has its own small shower room and overlooks Hill House courtyard.
