As mistress to French King Louis XV, Madame Du Barry held such sway over his affections that he failed to notice her robbing the treasury and bringing her own unique, if rather doubtful, leadership qualities to all manner of French affairs. Consequently, things went rather downhill for the French, allowing us Brits to take over much of their empire. In recognition of this kindness, we have created the Du Barry suite and we are sure that she would have approved of the lavish, witty decor. We hope you do too.
